The definition of “business” for these credit card companies is quite expansive.
You don’t have to have an LLC or be incorporated.
It can be a sole proprietorship using your social security number.
People often get approved for these business cards even if they don’t have any income yet.

So, here’s how you could make a boat load of points in the next few months.
Step 1: Get the Chase Ink Business Card & meet the minimum spend (+120,000 points)
Step 2: Refer your spouse to do the same thing (+40,000 points for referral, +120,000 points for your spouse)
Step 3: You & your spouse refer as many other folks as you can over the next month until you hit the 200,000 point referral bonus limit
Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- My wife referred me to this card (using one of her Chase biz cards) which will give us 40,000 referral points
- I applied for the card a few days ago & I’ll earn the 120,000 points over the next 3 months
- I referred my cousin to this same card, earning an additional 40,000 points
- I’ll refer my wife to this same card before the 40,000 point deadline hits (early September) and she’ll get the 120,000 points plus we’ll get the referral bonus
- I’m telling other people (like you) about this offer & hope to max out me and my wife's 200,000 point referral bonus limit by the deadline as well!
Approximate Total Points (over the next few months) = 360,000 points plus 40,000 for any other friends that use our referral links.
If me/my wife refer 5 people each, that’d be 640,000 total points! That would be nearly $13,000 in free travel.
