How to Attract More Clients

One of the ways you can make additional income to support your ministry is through getting a real estate license & representing a few family members/friends each year in buying/selling their home.

But what if you want more business than that? What if you want to represent a few more clients to meet your income goals?

That’s where marketing comes in.

And marketing is scary to a lot of people. The reason why is because you spend money in advance not knowing if you’ll ever get it back. That’s why many people avoid it altogether.

But I think that’s a big mistake & it limits the potential of many businesses.

I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars in marketing over the years and my return on investment is sky high. You just have to start small, spend the money strategically, and eventually you’ll be paying for your marketing costs with revenue you’ve made from prior marketing efforts.

If you’re looking for new clients to represent in buying/selling houses, I’d encourage you to start marketing monthly to potential prospects.

One of the best marketing pieces we’ve used recently has been a handwritten, invitation-style, Kraft paper envelope with a letter inside. To save money, you can do these yourself at first.

Send a marketing piece like this to your prospect list each month letting them know how you can serve them as they buy or sell a home. Mix it up. One month send a Christmas card. The next month send a CMA (comparative market analysis) for their area. Then send a postcard with a handwritten message. Then send a letter sharing more about other people you’ve helped. You get the idea.

The key is consistency.

Most marketers believe you need to be sending your prospects one marketing piece every 3-4 weeks.

Stay consistent in your target area & then wait for your phone to ring. Because it will!
