He wasn’t trying to convince me to change professions. I was a paid pastor at the church at that time (I’ve since come off the payroll). His experience with having a license was that it opens up opportunities you couldn’t even anticipate ahead of time.
He would tell me about deals he had done that just came out of the blue & what he would make putting the deal together, without having spent a lot of time doing it.
Honestly, I thought he was a bit crazy at the time. What would I need a real estate license for? I’m a pastor!
But years later, I learned first-hand that he was right.
Me and my wife both ended up becoming real estate brokers & we’ve been able to put many deals together, just as he had said.
Neither of us have ever worked even part-time doing this. It was always just something we had on the side in case opportunities came up. And they certainly did!
Have you considered this as another way of supporting your ministry?
You might be surprised by how God could use it!
